FULL CARCASE / SPACE LUX WARDROBES

At Hammonds we do two different types of furniture construction: Full Carcass (or fully lined as we sometimes call it) and Front Frame.


The detail:


  • One Colour interior - Launched in 2016 to celebrate Hammonds 90th anniversary. Interior colour is called Novanta Oak which means 90 in Italian.

  • Full carcass (or fully lined) consists of floor, roof and sides.

  • Each wardrobe is a individual finished unit.

  • Fresh and dust free clothes.

  • No need to worry about decorating rear wall.

  • Premium finish and ‘Opulent’ feel.

  • All ‘rolling’ furniture in accent grained mussel finish.

  • 4 hinges per door for longevity and balance.

  • 18mm division (intermediate panel) and floor.

  • 18mm roof aids structural integrity.

  • 8mm back panel - double the industry standard.

  • 610mm deep as a maximum - cannot be made deeper under any circumstances.

  • Adjustable feet underneath to make sure the wardrobe sits level even if the customers floor isn't

  • Each full carcass wardrobe comes with an A interior - shelf and an elliptical rail.

  • We use elliptical rails for longevity and to prevent sagging.

  • Wardrobe hinges manufactured by Salice.





Differences between Full Carcass & Front Frame:


•Similar costings, more material Full Carcass, more fit time Front Frame.

•External look exactly the same, irrespective of construction.

•90% of our customers prefer the look/feel of Full Carcass (gives the traditional wardrobe look).

•All interior units available in FC, i.e. Trouser rail, pull out shoe racks.

•Front Frame utilises all space within the area, no lost space behind infills, top fills etc.

•Front Frame can assist around awkward architectural features.

•Front Frame can go to a maximum of 800mm deep, FC to 610mm.

•Minimum depth of both 90mm.

•Spacing differences in mixed run of Front Frame and Full Carcass.
